Getting Started

BOOK A SHOOT

Ready to plan a photoshoot but not entirely too sure what you want? Here’s where you’ll find a whole heap of (hopefully) helpful pieces of information for planning what you’ll need! Here’e a quick check list of all the things you’ll need to consider with some helpful guides to get you going!

Ready to book in your shoot? Lets break it down in to three helpful steps!

ONE
Set The Vibe

TWO
Location, Backdrops, Lighting

THREE
Lock it in

First - Set The Vibe

Super basic, super easy! Lets talk about what you want to shoot, what mood you’re going for, what you want to convey, and what you want to use the photos for. These could be family photos with a warm sunset feeling, corporate headshots with a fun energy, sultry photos for your fan page, or just a feel good photoshoot to celebrate yourself!

Please have a quick google for the kind of vibe you’re looking for, and send through a few examples so I can help you capture photos as close to your vision as possible! If you see anything you hate, send it through as well so we can make sure we avoid that too! It can be as simple as “I like the sunny vibes in the first photo, but hate the cliché pose in the second one, I want to keep it natural”

Second - Location, Backdrop, Lighting

Location

Due to having a fully portable set up, you can shoot wherever you want!
Choose if you want to shoot in my home studio, at your home or office, out in nature, or at a remote location!

Backdrops

So, now we know where we’re shooting, the next step is to choose a backdrop if you need one!
All of the photos below are unedited to give you a better idea of what they REALLY look like
Check the studio portrait section of the site to see how they look when your photos are edited, or paired into scenes.

Lighting

Don’t stress, this isn’t a hard choice!
Do you want that sleek, studio finish, and control over how it looks? Go the studio set up!
Or are you just shooting in an indoor space that’s only got ceiling lights? Go the speedlights!
Overwhelmed? I’ll let you know what’s best for your shoot based off what you’ve told me!

Speedlight Set up

Just an on camera flash, for when you’re shooting in a dark location and just need to brighten things up a little

Great for darker indoor lighting, afternoons, or darker forests.

Third - Lock it in!

Now you know what you’d like shot, where we’re going to go, and what the set up will be, lets lock it in! I’ll send you a quote based off what we’ve planned above and my availability. Once we set a date and a deposit has been paid, you are booked in!

After the shoot, you will receive an invoice for the final amount (Quote will be sent with an hourly rate, invoice will be sent with the total hours shot). Your photos will be sent to you via google drive once the invoice has been paid in full.
